If You Need Morning Inspiration, We’ve Got It: Morning Mantras to Get More Done!

January 5, 2016  /  Lifestyle

Sometimes, a shift in attitude is the only lift you need to improve your ability to impress the masses. Feeling blue that the weekend is over and you’re back to work? Or maybe you just can’t get motivated…on a Thursday?

Practice these five mantras to get you through. Simply pick any one for any day of the week and repeat morning, noon and night. It’ll be exactly the kind of pick-me-up you need to deliver results.

“You are far too smart to be the only thing standing in your way.”

When you’re overwhelmed on the job, it can be easy to wonder how you’ll tackle A, B, C, D and E by your deadlines. Breathe in, and relax. The more you focus on those pesky unknowns—the how you’ll get it done—the bigger the problem seems. The only real problem you have is despair, fear, and negativity. But when you turn that around (and begin tackling one after the other, step-by-step), your attitude is no longer the problem. It’s the solution.

“Movement is a medicine for creating change in a person’s physical, emotional and mental states.”

The simply act of doing something is a great way to look at a packed-to-the-brim schedule that lies ahead of you. Just take one step towards the goal you have to reach (even grabbing a cup of coffee to help fuel your energy while you brainstorm!) will have a lasting effect. Why? Because you’re proactively doing something about the problem, and mentally, that makes all the difference.

“We are what we repeatedly do, excellence, therefore, is not an act, but a habit.”

Obstacles are like those objects in the side view mirror we see when we’re driving. ‘Objects in mirror are closer than they appear,’ and it’s true. You may look in your mirror and see a car behind you that seems are though it’s about to touch your bumper, but the truth is, in reality, it doesn’t pose nearly as much of a threat. Challenges are a lot like that tricky mirror. The more you take a ‘glance’ at your obstacles, the closer, bigger (and scarier!) they seem. But by focusing on the road ahead of you (and work diligently to get to your ‘destination’) you’ll smoothly get to where you need to go!

“I am too positive to be doubtful, too optimistic to be fearful and too determined to be defeated.”

Living the life you want—professional and personal—amount to one thing: a commitment to positive thoughts, clear intention and faith in the outcome. For a truly productive, creative, amazing day ahead, focus on your strengths. Listen to your intuition when faced with decisions that need to be made quickly, and believe in yourself and the choices you’ve made.

“Challenges are gifts that force us to search for a new center of gravity. Don’t fight them. Just find a different way to stand.”

Many people quit right before they achieve great success. The trick to never giving up? Try focusing on the excitement and passion for what you do, instead of the fear as to what the outcome may be. Stay present, and stay committed. Any challenge you face is an opportunity to show the world what you’re truly made of!
