How many seats does the Olympic Flame Take up on a Plane?

January 19, 2010  /  Lifestyle

Short answer? Six. Long answer? Enough seats to make an entire forum’s worth of people debate whether or not it’s worth the expense and hassle. From one commenter who asks, “You’d think that a guy holding up his lighter would do, no?” to the one who points out how the flame should be carried overseas by someone running (along what land bridge from Europe to Canada, pray tell?), the suggestions and speculations about the Olympic Flame’s passage to North America seems like a topic people like to talk about. Personally, I like the post that points out the most insulting thing about the trip this world-renowned symbol takes: it travels economy class. Good to know everything isn’t glitz and glamour at the Olympics.
